Exhibit set up
· Interned at the Montgomery Museum and Lewis Miller Art Center in the Summer of 2014.
· Researched, planned, and set up a textile exhibit titled: Lady’s Lace: Always in Style.

· Assisted collections manager and director in procuring new artifacts and setting up a Coal Mining Exhibit.
· Assisted collections manager in tagging and entering new items into PastPerfect.
· Learned proper procedures for procuring, storing, and handling items and documents in the collection.
Conference Planning
· Helped plan the annual Brian Bertoti Innovative Perspectives in History Graduate Conference at Virginia Tech two years in a row by serving on the Administrative Committee.
· Reserved flights and hotel rooms for speakers and panelists.
· Arranged catering.
· Served as speaker liaison making sure they had transportation, meals, lodging, etc.
· Moderator for panelists during the conference.
Oral History
· Conducted interviews for the LGBTQ Southern Oral History Program for Virginia Tech and the Blacksburg community.
· Trained in interviewing techniques and use of sound equipment.
· Transcribed and logged interviews to be put in Special Collections at the Newman Library.
