Cultural/Museum Intern
Karabakh Foundation
Washington, DC
The Karabakh Foundation seeks interns to develop a nationwide cultural programming/museum-without-walls program based in Washington, D.C. Within the next year, the Foundation plans to launch several exhibitions and several public programs, including satellite maps, photography, a cookbook, musical recordings, documentaries, and more. Three online exhibitions will look at various cultural and historical aspects of Azerbaijan, including music, coins, and stamps. Programs include the Washington, D.C., premiere of Haft Paykar: Seven Beauties, Rhythms of Azerbaijan concert, and Novruz celebrations. In conjunction with the launching of these exhibitions and programs, the Foundation will be developing educational programming and materials for local D.C. schools and universities. The museum studies intern will work closely with other Karabakh Foundation staff and volunteers to develop interpretive materials, programming, and educational materials for exhibits and programs. Foundation offers training, flexible hours, and on-the-job experience tailored to match the intern's interests. We are looking for dedicated interns who will advocate our building bridges initiative by educating American audiences about Azerbaijani and Caucasus culture.
